WHAT A WEEK! right?!

earth day morning i had a fresh juice with billy white (who will be playing at the shelter theater thursday!) and got dressed up in a vintage bathing suit, scoda jumper from the athenaeum given by jan michaels, chie mihara flats, marisa haskell necklace, and two braided metal bracelets i found in a button box at la pulga (the flea market thrown by some very lovely ladies, one of whom, angela, is shown playing dress-up bellow.).  then off to la presa, the towns main water source, to picnic on some friend-hand rolled vegetarian sushi. none of us mentioned it was earth day but mini punk danced the sacred hoop dance, frida and poet made friends with the local animals, and mariana (chief creator of
La Cámara where the pop-up alternative market la romeria with our aprils athenaeum made their home) made sure we didn't leave any ugly and harmful signs we had been there behind.

the last day of the pop-up athenaeum. it was fun sharing clothes with my friends in mexico and sharing my idea of the library i hope to build!!

Angela Lewis Serrano as disco bird

uhhaw!
classy with a boom!

daniela found a very special piece i made from some of my moms old textiles and i had added a vintage knitting device i found at the alameda antique flea market.  this was an extra good omen because she is a master knitter/sculptor photographer. bonus that she is simply lovely in it. check out her latest show on youtube.. http://youtu.be/DXKhgo0JkJw

this top by isabel marant looked edible on angela with her blond wavy hair and blue pants
vero has what it takes to do my designs justice!!

who loves a 50's cut ass? who doesn't!!!!
what a great ending to the athenaeum mexico pop-up. i'm sad to go but sf is calling me home and my nephew is coming!!!! i can not wait to be home and have time to be a proper aunt to my new babies! what a grand adventure!
the end
hold on.. happy mother's (earth) day!
till next week...
