AMAZING amazing

i have a lot to catch up on with my blogging venture! i have been without internet and/or time for a while as i've been hunting for an affordable and still lovely place to live in the bay area. FOUND IT! i had my spirit family, jim and flo, helping me out by letting me crash in their old room of my old house on harwood street in oakland. it was a blessing and a pleasure getting to spend time with fam and see my incredible girl ella may dancing and singing and signing too. she substitutes a lot of words with asl. giving her one more communication tool. it clears up much unnecessary confusion. she knows a lot of basics like food for when she's hungry, milk, more, poop, etc.. and she's made up a few of her own slang signs  too that we all now know. there is soooo much i want to catch up on and write about but i'll start with these pictures from artpad. i'm wearing the dress i made from my mothers textiles she painted and had woven over 20 years ago. diva used the fabric as curtains at one point. it is hand loomed silk. i made another dress from the same fabric (i might have enough left for some shorts) that i hope to photograph soon. the first hotel room, that had been converted into a gallery at the phoenix hotel, was the very same one allysun, mother of the jewelry and clothing line KITTINHAWK http://www.kittinhawk.com/, was nominated and showcased as one of the best designers in sf. so i had diva take i picture of me in front of the curtain where us models (she always used friends instead of the ones from modeling agencies provided by event producers and which other designers usually used) got ready at the hand of the lady herself. bellow are two photos from that event :)! i hope to talk about her and all the other talented people that have inspired me over the years in future posts.. still new to this!

there were maybe a dozen people snapping cameras as i pulled in these two gorgeous sirens as close as i could get them. they're wearing amazing works of art by Tuan Tran.

so much to say... new home, people being born in and out of this world, PRIDE!, and a photoshoot coming up illustrating a story written by my good friend and amazing amazing wendy taylor. xox and thanks for sharing my work with me.
